Join me for a free community lecture about the Bible at the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Foundation’s 2015 Shipp/McCormick Lectures.

The lecture will be based my book, Making Sense of the Bible. It will be held at Lovers Lane UMC, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, Texas  on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 9:00 – 10:30am.  The lecture is free and open to the public.

We'll discuss tough questions such as, How and when was the Bible written? Who decided which books made it into the scriptures? Why is God so violent in the Old Testament? Is Jesus the only way to salvation? Is the Book of Revelation a guide to the End Times? What does the Bible have to say about homosexuality?

Bettye Vanderwoude, director of the LLUMC Foundation, said, “We are honored to have Rev. Hamilton speak at this year’s lecture. Those in attendance are sure to be blessed and enlightened by his talk and will walk away with a deeper understanding of the Bible.”
